Profile: For more than 40 years Northampton Community College has been preparing people
of all ages and backgrounds to successfully meet their educational goals. Over 100 transfer and career
programs are offered leading to associate degrees, certificates and specialized diplomas. Northampton
is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is also registered and
approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The College is an open admissions institution,
however some programs have competitive admissions. Over 10,000 students are enrolled at Northampton.
While the majority commute to campus, the College has two residence halls and an apartment complex
on campus housing out-of-county and international students from 41 foreign countries. A full
complement of athletic, social and cultural events are available to students. Northampton has
a branch campus in Monroe County, as well as locations in downtown Bethlehem, the Lehigh Valley
Industrial Park IV, and Pike and Wayne counties.
