Institution: Moravian College Enrollment: Total Enrollment: 1,564 Institution Profile: Moravian College is a private, selective liberal arts college in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Tracing its founding to 1742, it is recognized as America's sixth-oldest college, after Harvard (1636), William and Mary (1693), St. John's in Annapolis (1696), Yale (1701), and the University of Pennsylvania (1740). Its mission is the integration of a liberal arts education with preparation for life. Moravian aims to give its students a foundation for careers or graduate/professional school, for continued lifelong learning, and for a values-oriented approach to society. The College today educates a
socially and religiously diverse group of students. Students come from a
variety of socioeconomic, religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds, and
from about 25 states and 10 foreign countries. Moravian offers several
special programs of study which include Interdisciplinary and Interdepartmental
programs, independent study, foreign study, the Moravian-Oxford Program and
field study programs, including internships, research assistantships and
study of special topics. Moravian College has 107 full-time faculty members.
